Rabbi Kenneth Cohen is the Executive Director of AU Hillel. He is the former Executive Director of the United Syangogue of Conservative Judaism, Seaboard Region and immediate past president of the Washington-Baltimore Region of the Rabbinic Assembly.
Ken really has two jobs meshed into one: executive director and campus rabbi. Ken deals mainly with fundraising, maintaining community contacts and administrative coordination. He somehow manages (quite valiantly) to find time to tutor and counsel students, do weekly Torah study and also...tell the occasional bad joke.
Melissa Levy is the Program Director of AU Hillel. She graduated from Indiana Universtiy in 1997 with a degree in music education. A native Northern Virginian (almost the South...but not quite...), she returned home to teach middle school band for three years before entering into Hillel life.
As program director, Melissa deals mainly with empowerment students and student leaders. She does a fabulous job nurturing their leadership skills and maintaining student enthusiasm within Hillel.
Kylea Hensel is the Adminisrator, bookkeeper, princess and overall "IT" girl of AU Hillel. She graduated from American University in 2002 with a degree in Business Administration. Her job is multi-dimensional; always handling at least 2-3 different tasks and requests at a given moment. She is extremely capable and very well-liked by the students. Plus, she lets me gossip to her all the time!!

Judy Bacharach: JCSC Fellow
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in May 2002 with a degree in Women's Studies. Currently, I plan to go to rabbinic school in the fall of 2004. As the AU JCSC, I work all hours, all days and all times of the week. I gossip, I feed, I console and I plan. I love the Jewish community and the students we work with here in Hillel. I am very lucky!
